Worship With Us

Every Sunday, Harmony United Church gathers for worship at 10:30 am. Our services are held at 1 Shuniah Street, Thunder Bay - a beautiful, wheelchair-accessible building at the heart of our community.

A typical Sunday service at Harmony is designed to be welcoming, hopeful, and meaningful - for long-time members and first-time visitors alike. Each service includes:

  • Prayer and scripture
  • Music sung and played in various styles - always heartfelt and with enthusiasm
  • A reflection or message rooted in the week's readings
  • An opportunity to respond in community - through giving, service, or simply being present

Music at the Heart of Harmony

The name 'Harmony' itself reflects the central place of music in the life of this congregation — it has always been how we come together.

Our worship services are enriched by the voices of our choir, the distinctive sound of our dulcimer circle, and the leadership of our Music Director, Sandy Parisi. Music at Harmony ranges from traditional hymns to folk-inspired arrangements that reflect our community's warmth and creativity.

We know that walking into a new church can feel uncertain. At Harmony, we want everyone to feel at home from the moment they arrive. Here is what you can expect.

Come As You Are

There is no dress code at Harmony. People at Harmony usually dress casually, but if you prefer to dress up, please feel free. What matters is that you are here.

What to Expect

Greeters will welcome you at the door. Feel free to find a seat, pick up a bulletin, and settle in before the service begins. You will not be put on the spot or asked to introduce yourself unless you wish to.

Accessibility

Harmony United Church is wheelchair accessible. Accessible parking is available near the building. Please contact the church office if you need information about the best entrance or any other assistance.
