Like most years in the life of our church community, this past year has held moments of joy and moments of deep sorrow. We have celebrated milestones, welcomed new people through our doors, and shared meaningful times of worship and fellowship together. Through all of this, the spirit of our church has remained strong. As we look toward the year ahead, we do so with gratitude for where we have been and with hope for what lies ahead.

Harmony's Outreach Committee supported the Current River Food Cupboard, Grace Place, the Dew Drop Inn, Mission to Seafarers, Canadian Mental Health, Teen Challenge, Thunder Pride, and Camp Duncan in 2025. The annual Yard Sale and BBQ raised over $1,800. Total outreach and designated givings exceeded $14,000 for the year.

HALO organized a farewell Pot Luck Dinner for Rev. Mastard Sakala on March 1st, a catered luncheon following the 2024 Annual General Meeting, a members' luncheon at the Dawson Diner, a Mothers' Day Brunch at the RC Legion, and the Annual Harmony Christmas Dinner at the RC Legion on December 20th.

Camp Duncan on Loon Lake continues to serve United Church communities and the broader Thunder Bay community. In 2025, the board invested over $10,000 in maintenance and upgrades including a new UV water treatment system, fire suppression improvements, cabin insulation, and shoreline re-wilding. The camp has about a dozen bookings from June through August 2026.

Harmony celebrated the baptisms of Emma Aileen Barbara Lambert on January 12, 2025 and Isla Annette Caldbick on February 16, 2025. We hold in loving memory those members of our congregation who passed in 2025. Their presence and their stories remain an important part of our community.
