Caring for One Another

Pastoral care is one of the most important ways Harmony United Church lives out its faith. When members of our congregation face illness, loss, isolation, or uncertainty, they are not alone. Our community holds them close in prayer and reaches out with presence, support, and compassion.

We have celebrated milestones, welcomed new people through our doors, and shared meaningful times of worship and fellowship together. At the same time, we have also had to say good-bye to members of our congregation who are no longer with us, and we continue to hold close in our prayers those who are facing illness, treatment, or uncertain times. Their presence and their stories remain an important part of our community. Through all of this, the spirit of our church has remained strong.

Shut-In Support Ministry

Bringing the Church to You

For those who cannot leave their homes because of illness, age, or limited mobility, Harmony's shut-in support ministry brings care and companionship directly to them. Trained and caring volunteers and congregation members visit, pray, and offer a connection to the wider church community.

Whether you or someone you love could benefit from a visit, or whether you feel called to offer your time and compassion to others, we encourage you to reach out. No special experience is required — only a willingness to care.
