Life Together at Harmony
At Harmony United Church, community life grows out of our faith. We believe that friendship, shared meals, creativity, and care for one another are not extras — they are the heart of what it means to walk together.
Whether you are drawn to music, craft, conversation over coffee, or simply a good meal with good people, there is a place for you here. Our groups and gatherings welcome people at every stage of life and every point on the faith journey.
Our Fellowship Groups
Harmony has a range of informal groups that meet regularly for friendship, creativity, and shared interests. Current schedules and active status should be confirmed with the church office before publication — the details below reflect the most recently known information.
Coffee and Conversation
A friendly gathering for hot coffee, good conversation, and games. Meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month, 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Donations accepted. All are welcome.
Craft Group
A gathering for people who enjoy knitting, crochet, quilting, and related crafts — focused on fun, creativity, and good company. Contact the church office for current meeting details.
Choir
For those who share a passion and love for singing. The choir has been central to worship at Harmony, reflecting the importance of music in the congregation's life and identity. Contact the church office to find out about current rehearsal times.
Dulcimer Circle
A group that gathers to play and enjoy the mountain dulcimer together. Contact the church office to confirm current meeting status and schedule.
Meals, Celebrations, and Seasonal Gatherings
Some of the most memorable moments in our congregation's life happen around a table. Throughout the year, Harmony hosts meals and celebrations that bring people together in warmth and good spirit.
Known events include:
- Annual Harmony Christmas Dinner (held at the RC Legion, December)
- Mothers' Day Brunch (held at the RC Legion following the May Sunday service)
- Pot luck dinners and congregational farewell meals
- Corn and hot dog roast (September)
- Crazy Hat Tea Party (seasonal afternoon tea with dainty sweets)
- Community Yard Sale and BBQ (May)
Events are organized throughout the year by HALO and other volunteers. Watch the Events page for current listings, or contact the church office to find out what is coming up.
Children and Families
Harmony United Church welcomes children and families as a full and valued part of our congregation. Sunday School and other opportunities for children are part of our commitment to being a church where people of all ages can grow in faith together.
We encourage parents and caregivers to contact the church office for current information about programmes, schedules, and how children participate in worship and congregational life.
Join Us — Everyone Is Welcome
